With ACQUA, you can effortlessly and comprehensively conduct measurements for any transmission scenario in the complete voice and audio quality measurement chain. With the release 6.1.100, we have added substantial improvements to the extensive feature set.
ACQUA from HEAD acoustics is the reliable basis for the complete voice and audio quality measurement chain, from generating complex excitation signals through automated measurement and analysis of signals to secure storage and documentation.
With ACQUA, you can effortlessly and comprehensively conduct measurements for any transmission scenario, such as VoLTE, USB, A2B®, and Bluetooth®, or measure devices like mobile phones, hands-free terminals, ANC headphones, ICC systems, and smart speakers with ease. With the ACQUA release 6.1.100, we have added substantial improvements to the extensive feature set.
ACQUA & ViBRIDGE
HMS II.3 ViBRIDGE is a full-band-capable artificial head measurement system with anatomically correct ear replication, including structure-borne (bone-conducted) sound simulation. The application of the ViBRIDGE pinna is now seamlessly integrated into the ACQUA measurement procedure. The corresponding filters result automatically from the pre-defined workplace settings, making them just as easy to use as other filters, such as mouth equalization or binaural equalization of the ears. Managing different ViBRIDGE pinna filters is possible with ACQUA 6.1.100, too.
ACQUA & move°S
With the move°S option, HEAD acoustics has, for the first time, made it possible to turn an artificial head silently using a motorized system. move°S is now also supported by the newest ACQUA version. This includes a graphical user interface for precise head movement control in 0.1-degree steps. Furthermore, a column in the ACQUA database tree is added, allowing a pre-defined position of move°S for each measurement as it is known from other HEAD devices like HRT I.
ACQUA & EQUEST
The HEAD acoustics measure for assessing the echo performance of terminals based on the ECMA 418-2 hearing model for time-varying loudness was further developed for more robust results across all bandwidths. The new version of EQUEST is also standardized in ETSI TS 103 802. With this latest ACQUA release, both the classic and standardized versions are now available in ACOPT 29.
ACQUA & MDAQS
MDAQS (Multi-Dimensional Audio Quality Score, ACOPT 36) is the world's first binaural perception-based software tool that replaces human evaluation with novel metrics in the audio device development process. MDAQS is now available in version 1.1. This version provides an even more robust computation of the D-MOS Value (Distortion) and, therefore, an improved prediction of the perceived audio quality. Besides, a more efficient implementation leads to lower computation time than the previous MDAQS version.
ACQUA & labCORE ASIO driver
ACQUA 6.1.100 now includes a 64-bit version of the labCORE ASIO driver.
ACQUA & coreIP-IMP
A new feature has been added to the network impairment simulation in the labCORE coreIP extension coreIP-IMP. In addition to jitter, delay, and packet loss, packet duplication can now be simulated to mimic the behavior of actual network transmissions.
ACQUA & coreBT2-LC3-HFP
The LC3 codec assures high speech and audio transmission quality (super-wideband). Thus, the EVS speech quality in VoLTE calls is maintained while using Bluetooth®. Therefore, coreBT2‑LC3‑HFP enables measurements with super-wideband signal transmission of Bluetooth® devices applying the hands-free profile.
ACQUA & Speech Transmission Index
We have updated the Speech Transmission Index (ACOPT 29) to version IEC 60268-16 (2020).
